The objective of this ongoing assignment is to propose the modalities for the establishment of regional special economic zones in Nigeria.

This includes proposals on infrastructural needs, institutional arrangements and the establishment of a suitable management and revenue-distribution framework for regional value-addition centers across Nigeria that serve as centres for agricultural produce aggregation, value addition and export.

The assignment includes the review of a thriving export processing zone (Athi River EPZ in Kenya) and the provision of recommendations.
