Fatan is a member-owned national federation of agricultural cooperatives, with registered subsidiaries including Fatan Finance (credit, savings, investment and insurance), Fatan Logistics (storage and transportation), Fatan Agribusiness (input supply, value addition, extension and trade), Fatan Trading (matchmaking and export), Fatan Women and other groups as appropriate. This assignment surveyed agricultural value chain actors in the different categories of producers, processors, intermediaries and transporters across 101 agricultural economic hubs in Nigeria in order to propose realistic and context-specific objectives, as well as workable structures for Fatan.
